Kicks

Kicks' Attributes

Each Kick has a unique set of attributes that influence the output of $LACE/$KICKS, the success rate of upgrading (Kicks & accessories), the durability of your Kicks (cleanness), and your luck in finding KickBoxes (while playing Solo or Club mode). Note: The free Kick players start when first opening an account has a set amount of each attribute and cannot be upgraded.
1 - Drip - Solo Mode, Club Mode & Tournaments
The higher the Drip score of your Kick, the higher the output of $LACE/$KICKS per step used within Solo & Club Mode. A high Drip score also leads to a faster collection of leaderboard points within Tournaments.
2 - Comfort - Upgrading
The comfort of your Kicks will decrease both the price to upgrade your accessories and the time required to upgrade your Kick. More info on the accessories and their perks can be found here.
3 - Wear & Tear - Cleaning
Determines the rate at which your Kick gets dirty and therefore requires cleaning. The higher your Protect, the less easily your Kick gets dirty and the more durable your kick is.
Cleaning your Shoes:
Dirt - While moving in Solo or Club mode a player's Kicks will get dirtier, resulting in less $LACE output per step. It's important to keep your Kicks clean in order to keep your rewards high. Also, be sure to never get your Kick 100% dirty as that will result in an uncleanable Kick, which has therefore become useless. The only way to make your Kick usable again is to spend $KICKS and with that reduce your Dirt level back to 70%. There are 3 phases of Dirt for each Kick which have been displayed below. The dirtier your Kick the more expensive it gets to clean it again.
  • At 10/100 Dirt, the Kicks' Drip drops by 10%
  • At 40/100 Dirt, the Kicks' Drip drops by 50%
  • At 70/100 Dirt, the Kicks' Drip drops by 90%
4 - Luck - Solo Mode & Club Mode
Luck will determine both the rarity as well as the frequency of the KicksBoxes, which players are able to get while playing either Solo or Club Mode.

Types of Kicks

There are four main varieties of Kicks, each designed for specific workout intensity and/or fitness level:
Type of Kick
Optimal Speed (km/hr)
Walkers
1 - 6
Joggers
4 - 10
Runners
8 - 20
All-Round
1 - 20
The base LACE return of players is not constant, and some of the variables can cause it to change:
  1. 1.
Kicks' Dirt (Dirty Kicks affect their Drip)
  2. 2.
The optimal moving speed of your Kick
  3. 3.
GPS signal - players will earn less if the GPS signal is poor.
  4. 4.
Mobile Data signal strength and stability – if the data signal is choppy, it could also reduce earnings.
  5. 5.
    Randomization.

Kicks' Rarity

There are five Kicks rarities. When a Kick is minted, the value of each Attribute will be chosen at random within the min. and max. values according to Kicks' rarity. As such, even Kicks off the same rarity may have vastly different Attribute distributions.

Kicks' Potential

$LACE can be used to purchase and upgrade your accessories, which can increase the potential of your Kicks. Moreover, reaching certain milestones with your Kick can also increase this potential of your Kick. The more potential your Kick has the more your Kick will be able to earn and the more you are able to unlock. Note that each accessory also requires your Kick to have a certain potential to be equipped. The rarer the accessory the higher potential needed.
